After teaching art to elementary and junior high students, in my studio for ten years, I have developed lesson plans that ties art lessons with art history. I find myself using the same influences, from art history, in my own work. I look through art history books and museums for inspiration. Just the smallest detail of an art object is enough to fuel the imagination into a whole different area.
I enjoy experimenting with different art mediums and have produced some fascinating results. Mixing traditional oil paints, Rust-Oleum, house paints, metallic, luminescent, and foils have intrigued me. It has enhanced the painted surface with layers of rich colors. I shall always continue to explore different painting mediums and combine them with altered subject matters.
